What fun would life be with no female friends or coworkers? Maybe the army has desensitized me? Who knows. I wish you and your wife the best. Work and play for me will always be separate...Well, kind of.

Yessir. Loads paying 3.98 per mile from Michigan City, IN to Wayne, MI. Got 7 preplans on my truck at the moment. I know the rookie coordinator has to learn but he rubbed me the wrong way offering me 1.38 freight when my parameters are 2.25+ on loaded miles. I figure I'll have just as much money or more in the bank than going back west loaded for 200 a load less.

The way I run ain't for everyone. I gotta do what makes sense to me.

Recruiter told me steps are not making more than flats. That both are averaging about $2.19 a mile. Hard to believe step deck averages aren't higher than flat beds.

Mercer is primarily a flatbed carrier with some step loads thrown in.Jim837 Thanks this.

Outfit I'm leased to now thinks that $1.38 is a decent rate and will even give you $50 to tarp it haha.
