    Are you kidding? How have you NEVER seen a truck merge onto the highway. go drive on the highway, you will see trucks get on at EVERY on ramp just like cars

    No ,but I don't know what it will be like when I'm driving a 50 foot long vehicle.Which is why I'm here these forums

    Thanks for being the only person to give a real and KIND answer ,a simple "it's no different then being in a 4 wheeler ,don't over think it" was all thats needed to be said.

    Some people are scared to death of merging. I noticed its mainly the females or older folks when looking outside my truck.

    Many of us aren't from the big city and aren't used to merging in heavy traffic. If I see more than a half dozen vehicles when merging, it seems very, very busy. Going straight from this to LA-style traffic can be a bit overwhelming until a rookie gets used to it. When I go to Seattle or something I get a bit white-knuckled in a four-wheel. By the end of the stay I'm merging like a local, but I always go back home for a year or two between visits and get used to rural driving again. Guess I'm saying give the OP a break and some practical tips and not discourage.
