We had a bit of a communication snafu. As I was waiting at Cargolux he called and said he was going to text me an SDV to DGM.
I rolled up in front of the MADHOUSE that was SDV at 2:15 and texted as much to Roland.
About 2:30 I sent you had said something about an SDV to DGM.
About 2:45 I sent am I done for the day or what.
I talked to a driver from another company that I am friends with.
Talked to a fellow that once drived for our company.
At 5 he called on the phone I had been texting to and asked wherein was.
I asked if he got my texts. He said no. He said he texted me. Never got one.
He said hold on he'd call me back.
They were waiting for me inside SDV.
They put the pallet on my truck but gave me no paperwork.
I insisted that I got some. And I made a ticket since they didn't.
Delivered it and sent a text to that effect. He answered with thanks go home.

So is there any way 3 texts of mine didn't get to him earlier?

I went for the 4 day weekend. The fuster cluck that has been this week was enough to help me make up my mind. Boss was going to take Tuesday/Wednesday, but decided to wait until Wednesday and take the remainder of the week. I figured it would be okay for me to take Tuesday in his place. I hate to see what's going to happen when we hit peak.

It has been a while since I have spent 6 hrs at a customer... :biggrin_2552: What a zoo that place is... One small entrance and exit for all cars and big trucks and straight trucks, and everything else... Trucks parked on both sides of the street... everywhere... This was in Fontana, CA... And cars parked everywhere, in front of docks, any possible and impossible way... just making it more challenging for trucks to maneuver around... :biggrin_25510:

Took them 2 hrs to send me to a door and that was mainly because the vendor was there and insisted with warehouse folks to get me a door... And we chatted for a while...

There was a bunch of big trucks blocking the only entrance/exit where I had to make a turn to get to my door... And the drivers, all Mexican/Americans where joyfully chatting in the lobby... So, I go to them and ask, "Who is the driver of that big white truck out there?"
One big Mexican/American guy says "I am..."
And I tell him, "I need you to move that so that I can make a turn cause there's not enough room..."
And he asks me as if I am a dummy, "What?? :biggrin_2554: Your truck?? Can't make that turn?"
And I say, "No... Do you wanna see? Then, just watch me..." And as I walked to my truck and started to move, he came right behind and jumped inside of his truck and started backing off.... HAHAHAHHAHA.... :biggrin_2559:
He saw very well that there was absolutely no way I could make the turn with his truck where it was... :biggrin_2552:

At the end of this not very exciting day, I came back to co. warehouse, about 20 mins from shipper for my 10 hr break... So I didn't have to face traffic jam and will leave early in the morning. :biggrin_25519:

Gotta eat now and go to bed... it's getting late.
