Boyd Bros has been good to us if you're in their hiring area. You would be out of their Cincinnati terminal.
That is based on getting excellent MPGs, zero log violations, and a couple other factors. Base for a new driver is .38 until 6mths.
What are the best companies to get flatbed experience with before going O/O?

Maverick Transportation would certainly be worth considering. They have an excellent training program and just opened a brand new training center that's really nice. I drive for the glass division, but went through the complete flatbed training course because the glass drivers will occasionally backhaul regular flatbed freight. I'm also working my way to become an O/O, and if I had to do things over again I would go with Maverick again. There are some scare stories out there about Maverick training, but they are totally overblown.
