How long is a long time out? Just curious...

 

This place is like "Mother's Heart"... like they say in my country of origin, Brasil... there's always room for a new one...

Yesterday, for the first time I had to take "advantage" of the PC (personal conveyance) that my co. offers to be able to get to this truck stop. So... now I am here, taking my 37 hr reset...



Took this pic yesterday.... Was too tired to come on line... Just collapsed in bed without shower or any substantial meal...
And woke up at 5:30 am when someone bumped the rear of my trailer... Went outside with flashlight to see... Other driver went out too... No damage...

 

11 hours I sat waiting on this garbage load..


maybe I should go back to pulling a cow wagon.

 

Find a carrier that has a clue about the concept of "timely dispatch," and has the cajones to bill for some serious detention.

 

I FINALLY fixed the drawer that is under my toolbox. I carry jumper cables and an extension cord in the drawer. It was hanging down and falling open a lot.
No more!

But now I don't plan on doing anything else or going anywhere.

 

OH... The mechanic has played for two tires for my trailer. They will pull the money from my escrow. He saw one tire. He didn't see E or 10ply rating.
It should be very interesting when I get to that tire store on Monday....

 

Its been atleast 6 months since I did not make it to the house for the weekend. I dont spend my while life on the road just work time and I make that as short as possible. Been a while since I even came close to my 70 as well. Woops did have a few that because of the timing took 48+ hours off but no reset but a full 70 in one outing not often first week of oct wont be home for the weekend by choice going to sisters wedding instead hope to get paid there and back but if not plane ticket instead.

 

Not sure I understood well... 6 straight months on the road??? Or 6 months without taking hometime on a weekend?
I guess if you have family and friends at home, it's not very fun to be at home only during the week when everybody is busy working or at school and have no time to go out for fun and relaxing time...
Me, I wish my whole 7 days off where business days so I could get more stuff done... It's only me, myself and I to take care of things... After 3 or 4 months on the road, stuff accumulates and most business and doctors and dentists, etc don't open on weekends...
