Returning to the job today after a nice weekend off. Got to see my nephew play a HS football game Friday night, they won, but that is not too surprising, since they are ranked #1 in Illinois Class 4A and are 4 time defending State Champs. Also spent Sunday cleaning out my mother's garage, of 40 years of compiled junk. She can now get her car in there for the first time ever.

Got a load form Mattoon, IL to New Caney, TX...close to 1000 miles. Might be all the miles I get this week.

 

And to me, it means "West of the Rockies."

 

Wasnt bad....headed back up to Redlands for a Mars load....not supposed be ready til 1900,!which is after my 14 is up today...it's headed for Loveland...which means that wonderful detour north of Vegas. But...it's not the worst thing that could happen.

That would be my AC farting out once again....so, probably a beer load toward Lincoln after this....arf....

 

was thru there yesterday, 1 lane NB open, trucks only have to use detour between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m., I think you're allowed thru SB any time.

 

Oh, wow...I need to check that out....wasn't aware any of the NB was open. Thanks SSB!

...but I think with those time restrictions, I'll have to detour anyway...but I will take a look.

 

If I hustle on this load I can get home Thursday afternoon and head out early Monday afternoon to deliver it.

My my bunk ac konked out last weekend, I checked every fuse, circuit breaker and relay, pulled apart most every plug and it started working again.

 

When I mean west I'm talking
West coast or mountain west
Not Midwest lol come on now
I've turned 3 runs down going to idaho, Colorado, Washington state and Utah I'm due home next wednesday

 

Gotta get to my con in Michigan later all have a good day

 

You see what they're doing??...knowing you want miles they wait until you have to go home then offer you those runs..go figure..lol
