i have no problem with authority ., i do obey it..i just dont like it. when i was in my semi didnt at night, in my personal vehicle i do wear it. BUT DONT LIKE IT..also afraid that if i am in accident and need out quickly (fire ) that the seat belt wont unbuckle....when i have a clean record , no accidents, no tickets, pay my truck payments, pay my FULL coverage insurance and my taxes..then yes i DO HAVE THE RIGHT to drive..

    Door locks are safety devices.
They keep you inside the vehicle in a crash instead of being ejected.

New cars auto lock the door when it start moving. But if you grab the handle from inside it will unlock.

mine does it too, but i have a setting where i can turn it off. but i like it. that way i dont forget to lock them...when u are at a stop light etc, you never know when some crackhead is gonna come up and try to get in. i have it set when i use the remote to unlock , it only unlocks the drivers door, for the same reason...

Let's just say it: seatbelt laws exist because of the insurance lobby and wanting to limit claims. It has ZERO to do with either the goobermint or insurers "caring" about your safety. It has EVERYTHING to do with saving $$.

Having said that........they are a good safety tool. Should they be MANDATORY?? No. Do I always wear one???? HaHa....well let's just say I've never been cited for NOT wearing one!!!

I am always amazed at the number of people that argue simply for the sake of arguing.

Seatbelts have been proven to save lives, always buckle up before I put a car or truck into gear, always.

I rolled a set of doubles in December, and walked away, front trailer came thru the sleeper, and I had to cut the belt to get out. Without it I would not be here no doubt. Number 1 killer in high speed accidents is bodies being ejected from the vehicle.

Here's the deal. You don't want to be in that truck when it goes off a 500 ft cliff. Were talking log trucks in the mountains or getting pulled up a 50% grade. Those brakes aren't going to hold you even if your foots on the front steer axle.
