I tried with Old Dominion as well. The problem with their application process is it's not online. They require you to come into their terminal, speak with a recruiter and then apply only if you meet their eligibility requirements. I was turned away being a fresh grad student from truck school.

MAGNUM LTD out of Fargo, ND. I run to DFW once a week. You can make good - no, great $$$ right out of school! If your totally awesome you'll be at .48 cpm in 4 months + benefits, detention, layover, stops, and break down pay...
dennisroc, blairandgretchen, ncmickey and 2 others Thank this. -

Magnum also lists on their website they have a pet policy with deposit. So it could be a good opportunity for you if you have a pet you'd like to take with you after company training is over.
ncmickey, needmoney and Skydivedavec Thank this. -
Magnum has a $2000 sign on bonus. $200 paid orientation. Magnum will put you with a trainer for 4 weeks...$75 a day. Then for your first 6 months solo you make .34 a mile. Then after 6 months you can make 46-48 cpm. Thats for new drivers.
So far a great company that has lived up to everything they have told me... I drove over 10000 miles my first month, with 5 days at home.
Peterbuilts, All trucks have APUs, fridge, inverter.
Im on my way to Fort Worth on Tuesday after I go to Williston, ND and reload in Jamestown ND....J. JETT, needmoney and Skydivedavec Thank this. -
As China and the Shagmeister said, ODFL WILL hire out of CDL schools - if they WANT to. China and I know the guy out of PA that did so. I talk to him weekly.
Problem is - it's when THEY want to, so - best bet is to do the walk-in approach, and stay in touch with them. Varies by terminal, manager, time of year, color of the foliage, wind speed and direction.
That Magnum gig sounds pretty good though.
Turn over some rocks - you'll be surprised at what you find. ODFL is good, but it is LTL, and that doesn't suit everybody.
