You answered your own question "An O/O hires me". The O/O is your boss, however, you play by Swift's rules. The O/O pays you.
gpsman, DrtyDiesel and pattyj Thank this. -

What if the guy I was looking to hire had been previously terminated from the company due to an accident, drugs, tickets, etc. Can I hire him as an o/o or does the company control that?
-
The company ( Swift in the case of OP ) would control that. When you submit his DL number to add to the company insurance it will probably be kicked back as previously terminated due to accident. This better be your brother or best friend if your willing to stick your neck out for someone that was previously terminated due to drugs.gpsman Thanks this.

Yeah, Swift would have the final say with whoever an O/O would hire.

Cousin, speeding tickets...
-
Sorry, gotta ask - why would you work for swift under another owner operator? I assume he will be taking his cut of the pie - thereby reducing what you could make working directly for swift.
I'm sure there is a rationale reason - could someone enlighten me? -

Read his posts again.
He is not looking to hire on to an O/O, he is the O/O looking to hire his cousin who apparently was dismissed by them for speeding tickets.bergy Thanks this.
