I have been parentless for over 8 years now.
Everything you're feeling now, you get used to it but still never quite get over it...I still have days where it hits me like a runaway train (my own loneliness, guilt, and regret for some of the choices I made and things I've done).
I guess when those feelings come I try to focus on everything my parents and I did for each other in this life versus the shoulda-coulda-woulda that I'm sure everyone goes through at some point.

Well I talked to the big boss and he apologized for the incident. He said he reprimanded dispatch since under the circumstances I should have not been called. I work for good people.
