Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

It looked like more of a sell out. They have started remodeling the inside to make it look like a Petro, the computerized shower system was a Petro/T-A system...even the dude working the deli/carry-out part of the food service says they are forcing changes in the way they prepare food (more microwave stuff instead of fresh made, etc.).

 

The only thing I see in Mt Plesant itself is a Wally Supercenter...google maps shows big trucks parked in the lot so it must not be one of the stores that has the cross-bars blocking us from getting in.

 

it is a sell out, as the 3rd generation son wants his money now, and does not want to manage the place, as his grandfather and father have... sad really. announced about 3 months ago in the loveland newspaper.

 

highway 34 truck stop, has a 50 styles dinner... 26 miles east near burlington ia.

 

I stayed at wally world in mtbpleasant for my dlv in mt pleasant. Pilot is building a new facility right across the street now. It will have a PJ fresh for food.

 

Anyone ever been to Brookshire's in Tyler, TX? I deliver there tomorrow morning out of Siloam Springs, AR. Decent place to deliver? Lumper fee?

and a correction to my post on that huge oversize load...it was a 208 wheeler, not a 104 wheeler...

saw a sign in the little Sinclair fuel stop here in Tulsa...made me chuckle...it read: "what if the Hokey-Pokey really is what it's all about"

I was there once. Had appt for thursday morning,got there wednedsday night,couldn't deliver. Came back in the morning,they sent me to different warehouse where they charged me 250$ for 10 palets.

There is walmart you can park at.

 

Got a call yesterday about the old loaner I brought back from Henderson. Thought it was a shop gut till I checked the number after we ended the call. They asked why there was duct tape on the bumper. I said it was on there when I got it and if you look it's old and freyed. Then I got grilled for not writing it up. Picked it up on a weekend and Henderson was a ghost town and since it was old didn't think I needed to worry about writing it up. So ya it wasn't a shop guy on t h e phone. LOL I did write up the front end shakes and no power in rear of cab including the apu.


Hope they don't try to give me points for it. Ughhhhh. .......

 

What probably happened was you didn't write it up, but the next guy did so it looks like you did it since all the office sees is the paperwork on it. They most likely didn't go out and look at the truck.

I hope they don't try to give me any for my close encounter of the Bambi kind since I didn't stop and photograph the deer, if it was hurt enough to still be there.
