I also have to agree with something that was said too, concerning who gets points. You have to keep in mind, our department doesn't hire the drivers, HR does...so our bosses have to deal with a wide variation of drivers...from experienced, seasoned veterans to less experienced drivers who are qualified, but maybe aren't up to the challenges working for a company like Poly present. Some of the drivers I've talked to that were on the verge of pointing out needed regular hand holding and constant supervision to make sure they were still up to the task. Those of us out here that aren't having points issued are the one's that can think for ourselves and solve the problems that arise during the usual day as a truck driver without asking the office for guidance. (After we get adjusted to the Poly way). Maybe that was why I got on so quick, besides my good driving record I was, at one time, an O/O before my long stint in purgatory (aka Crete), so thinking for myself was a forgone conclusion.

You seem to have finally gotten adjusted o.k., so if they haven't given you any points for anything yet, chances are it will take something much worse than any errors you've made so far to be given one...just chill and enjoy. Like JD, I've had a few log errors caught (mostly my 30 minute break, and usually it's on the 1st day I leave home)...but I still have a 0 balance. Even with my battles with the shop, I have yet to get a point...knock on wood.

Speaking of the shop. It's been kinda quiet about them here recently. Hope that's a sign of improvement. I'm due for a PM. I'll be in GP tomorrow evening. Truck is running good (knock on wood). Would hate for the PM to mess it up. Haha.

Other than 2 tries for the International guy to replace my throttle position sensor, I have been keeping a low profile with them...I figure stirring the *bleep* only creates a bigger stink. My truck has been doing o.k. as well...in fact, mpg's are up, power is better than it was...the only complaint is that when they had it the 1st try to fix the throttle, they took away my Maxxforce shift delay...now it's like a Cummins, as soon as you lift your foot off the pedal to shift, if the Jake is on, it kicks in right away. But if that is all I have to cry about, I will live with it and wipe my tears with my paper towels that Poly paid me to buy with my cleaning supply reimbursement cash. :biggrin_2553::biggrin_2559:

Got my backhaul. Bensonville, IL to UPN. When I looked this place up on the 'ole Google Maps, it's not the same place I was thinking about when he 1st gave me the info...now I have a decision, go ahead and turn in this paperwork by tomorrow afternoon and get a 4200 mile (10 day) week, then hope for the best next week, or wait until Saturday to deliver and get a 1400 mile head start on next week...decisions decisions...already have myself on the weekend board for UPN, so maybe I'll wait until outbound calls tomorrow to see where in the world I'm trucking next.

And for anyone that uses that laundromat over in GP by the A&W/Long John Silver, they are building another building between the shopping center that was there and the A&W...I hope they don't outlaw us from there once it starts renting to business's. ..that would suck, kinda nice having a decent place to do laundry w/o costing an arm and a leg.

They may not outlaw us, it just might be a bit more crowded once new stores open. 3 or 4 more stores with no extra parking spaces added. Let's hope for the best, that place has saved me a ton of money this year.

I am about to use an offensive 4 letter word in the following post...those that are sensitive about such things may not want to continue.

As I was traveling across US 20 up here to deliver in Rockford, I was seeing what I thought to be leaves blowing in the wind. By the time I hit the end of the ramp, I realized it wasn't leaves it was.... (here is the offensive part) S N O W. It was a flurry at first. By the time I was inside the security office, the security guard came in covered in SNOW and it was coming down hard enough that the camera could barely see across the lot. It only lasted for about 5 minutes, but, dare I say, winter is officially here...I hope the kiddies have their snow suits ready for beggars night tonight.

*update*...my 1st screw up on load info. (After a whole year...not complaining)... I was told I was picking up a load out of the Chicagoland area going to Cottage Grove. When I get there, I find out that I am returning to GP...great, already had myself on Saturdays UPN board....scramble to call everyone and get it right...so now I am on the GP board.
