I bought one of those at a truck stop years ago. First time I needed it was in Minnesota during the winter, @10 above outside. Everything worked fine, got my tire aired up. Then, when I started to roll that pvc hose back up after laying on that cold, cold ground, it broke into @ 12 inch sections. I know I must have given a few people a good laugh. I still carry one with me but the only thing left from my original product is the glad hand.

From my experience those things may get flat on an empty truck up to 100 psi or so... if you are loaded heavy you might as well roll with the flat and get it fixed somewhere...you will be there all day...

I've had one, in blue, for about 10 or 11 yrs now, I've used it in all temps, has saved me more than a couple of times. I put a quick connect on one end so that I can use either the tire chuck, or I have a small cut off wheel in case of a blow out and I need to cut the carcass off.

I went to a hardware store, bought a good quality rubber hose and a good quality 12"long air chuck (the kind that you don't have to hold onto the valve stem) and quick disconnct fittings. Put it all on the glad hand. Has saved me a lot of time waiting for a service truck.

TA in Florence, KY. Every employee in that place was pissed about something, and they took it out on the customers. I wanted to punch that inbred cashier.
