I taliked with someone at GDA and when I asked how much behind the wheel time I get I was told it would be 70 hours. I laughed and asked him to repeat himself. He did and then I asked him to verify, he did. Obviously he had no idea what he was talking about. I then mentioned that I was looking at other schools, he was very quick to point out all of the reaxons I do no want to go to his compeditors schools. I felt he knew more about the other schools than he did his own school. In the end I decided to stay away from GDA and go with Daly's.

In the end I wish I had gone with GDA. Daly's was a joke, ran by a narcissistic Sgt Carter look alike that loved talking about his supposed combat experince, once or twice is fine, but to spend several hours a day talking about yourself and your beliefs passed us all off. I'll be posting a review soon.

well i was going to go through GDA myself. I ended up going with a company sponsored program and saved me some serious money! I went with Knight Transportation. I was a vet and they wanted to charge about 6 months worth of my GI bill to attend (with the housing allowance thats about 6-7k I could have gotten in housing allowance if I use them at a college) so I decided to save it and pay out of pocket. I went to Knight. the total was 3400 with only 100 up front due. There is a 2 week school you go to before scheduling your test, than you either 1) go take your test or 2) If it is too far out, you go out with a trainer until your test.

Not that bad of a place. I just didn't like the fact that these CDL mills charge you so much for so little drive time. Yeah they probably do put you in a truck for 70 hours, but you probably have to share that with about 5 people!
