Been there, done that many times, usually after driving backwards down a dirt road for 2 miles to get somewhere tractor trailers absolutely do NOT belong.
What happens with running through there in a tractor trailer is that the crown of the road and the curves are so sharp that landing gear has a tendency to bottomed out resulting in the truck getting stuck. The "S" curves are where this usually happens.
That's what happened when a truck restriction is put in place for no other reason than someone having bought and paid for it.![]()
Ever wonder what lies beyond those signs that say No Trucks Allowed?

One of my semi regular pick up spots has one of them at the intersection on one side. The other side has Vineland Industrial Park. I've never been able to pick up there yet....lol.
-
bridges with low clearances. roads with super tight turns a semi cant make. roads that arent wide enough for a semi.

Much like when I see those digital radar signs Your Speed Is:, I race up trying to see if it will show triple digits-- when I see a no truck sign it is like a challenge to see if I can get through the territory without getting a ticket. (not really lol)
But this one time I got caught too late on a weight restricted road No Trucks Over 30,000, well I know I'm about 34,000 empty. This 4wheeler stopped headon in my lane on this 2 lane road and snapped a pic of me with his cell phone. Then he very dramatically punched the keys 3 times I guess to let me know he was dialing 911 lol. I went on around him and raced up to the light 1.5 miles up, nowhere to turn around. I hooked a right turn on the green light and just as I straightened out this sheriff came flying over the hill the other way lights and sirens and hooked around behind me. He followed for a mile or so then called no joy and broke off pursuit. See he didn't catch me in the act.
Other times my GPS has led me into roads where I came to a 4 way stop and all 4 directions said No Trucks. WTH is someone supposed to do then? My jumpjets where malfunctioning that day otherwise I would have taken off vertically.
