Recently ran across an article on Robert Heath Trucking in the May 2013 issue of "Food Service Source" magazine.
It was an interesting article on a medium-small(168 truck) reefer company that is trying to be as efficient as possible with their equipment.
After reading the article I "googled" the company and ran across their drivers handbook on their website. I don't believe I've EVER run across a more anal-retentive" employee handbook in my 62 years:
here's the url for the company: www.robertheath.com
and here's the url for the handbook in pdf form: http://www.robertheath.com/employees.html

After reading through the handbook...I can understand some of the reasons for the "in depth" descriptions found therein.
Most likely a result of having hired drivers in the past that take baths twice a month and NEVER EVER clean the inside of their trucks for do a VI on the equipment. But some of the other stuff in the handbooks seems downright nuts.
    Enjoy!

I worked for this company they are the sorriest company to work for they don't put ytd on your pay stubs they take money out of ck for cargo shortages n don't tell u bout it n when u request the info bout it they get mad or can not come up with it. Its an all around BAD COMPANY TO WORK FOR. One more thing I've been requesting ytds for over a year n still they have yet to come up with it

Need to be careful looking for the,"perfect"trucking company... it's not a perfect industry and it's run by humans... let's face just that will make this job hard... just find the company with the shortcomings you can deal with... than just do your best to overlook those issues and work hard on your job... Robert Heath is a wonderful company... small family owned company that cares genuinely for their people... if I ever go back on the road, this is were I would go...
