Lucar,
If you are coming through NW Ohio, I have a set of chains still in the bags for 11R22.5 / LP24.5 tires. PM me if interested. -
Just saw this, thanks for the offer, too bad I'm coming onto IA by 2030.. maybe next time.

No problem

Died no. Retired, maybe. Took three months off just for the hell of it when I rebuilt the engine. Did a few more for some local guys around here for costs plus 3k. Turning wrenches is a nice break from running down the road.
But can't stay home forever so here I am running groceries again. Had two short loads tonight. 264 total miles on the odometer, 1750 dollars. Some guys did even better, less miles same pay. Gonna run these till xmas and if we don't get the contact extended through January I might just stay home till spring.
Edit to clarify: that was not a mistype. Literally three months with out spending ONE night on the road. Ran a couple short loads in Florida but was home from August 12th to November 11th. Mercer never even hinted that I was staying home to long and needed to pull some freight. No pressure from them at all.Last edited: Dec 7, 2014
Lucar and ramblingman Thank this. -
I signed up of it,deadhead to Indy to start on monday and my run was Indy to Chicago and back,364 miles a day, told her to forget it
-
Good luck, Indy is a giant cluster F. Only reason I left resonably late was I was pulling an empty. Lots of guys leaving late due to Indy's crap. Two guys (supposedly) walked out and went home the day I was there.

lets see there , about 750 a day , 3750 a week for 5 runs, take away 250 gallons of fuel for me, and I would be left with 2 grand a week, yep I could do it.

I got to get me a grocery run
