CJ, good luck with what you've got going. I noticed a little while back you posted that you had 20 years military. Once you get your feet wet and have a chance to give me some input, I'd like to pick your brain a little bit as I eventually look to go down the same road. I have almost 19 now and will hang them up at 20. I'm interested to learn how other retired military folks are making it work, experiences, benefits, etc. I've still got some time to prepare and get myself set up, plus build some experience OTR before being able to lease, and would like to soak up the input from a few others. Any info is greatly appreciated.

dirty joe is going all Johnny 5 >>>> seriously there is a lot of good info here and on a couple of other mercer threads, steelandsonfarms (sp?) comes to mind... one bit of advice is if you are going to have children at home still when you retire you may want to go with one of the big box companies that are close to the home 20 while building experience... you'll be better able to control your home time... semper fi

joe, there a tons of retired military guys here at mercer. they seem to do well here. many have the huge sleeper trucks.

I'm prior army and I wouldn't be where I'm at today if it wasn't for what I learned while I was in
