Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

The place with the free rooms was the Hacienda but it changed hands and no longer offers free rooms. The Fiesta north of the plant or the Railroad south of the plant have truck rates. I usually stay at the Railroad. They have a diner style restaurant, a family buffet and a steakhouse restaurant. Flash your CDL for a discount on food.

 

I'm at the Place Station. I took the shuttle over to the strip last night. Had a blast. Staying here again tonight. It's on the other side of I-15 from the strip.

 

There was one with casino and lounge.

 

Railroad .... Boulder City

 

Strong day today. My 5 stop mom and pop that was supposed to be ready yesterday at 1700 got ready around 2330 so that threw things in the ####### as I had already set up some appts. based on the ready time. But manned up and rolled out at midnight and somehow managed to get all 5 stops knocked out with pallet pulls/4 wheeler pulls on 3 of them. These mom and pops are like the proverbial box of chocolates as well, never know what kind of backing/pulling/improvising #### you will have to do to get the pallets off The guy with the four wheeler didn't have any form of pallet jack/fork lift. I hooked them to the chains and connected with a hanging chain he had in the garage and drove forward to get them to the rear of the trailer and then just kept on going for them to crash to the ground Dallas/OKC/Tulsa/Wichita, 540 miles, 180 extra drop pay counting my p/u at GP and 20.00 pallet pay, grossing close to 500.00 for the day which ain't too shabby Was hoping to get moving later tonight as I split my sleeper but no love from BH and it is starting to come down here pretty steadily with snow. Oh well

 

Ok it's not the railroad. They said the hacienda. But said they don't do it anymore either. Ughhh
