The class of 6 gets divided into 2 groups of 3. One group will be on the range while the other is on the road, switch after lunch. It comes out to about 4 hours of range time per day, and the road time is split between the 3. We have been averaging 1.25 to 1.5 hours per day per person. As you progress and your group improves on the range, you'll spend some of your last week out on the road all day.
Companies that I've seen so far are Schneider, US Xpress, CalFrac, TMC (today), and I think there is one more scheduled this week.. maybe OP can chime in on that. Superior wanted to come down last week in the evening, but we are a daylight class right now. They like Keystone drivers though.

There a few trucks on the range and usually one instructor I finisshd on April 11th and haste recruiters from schneider, usxpress, falcon, and tmc which is where I landed all the instructors were great I had a blast there good luck to you all
BronzeLion Thanks this. -
Ahh yeah forgot about Falcon..
-
I wouldn't recommend falcon to anyone both my brother and my cousin went there out of school niether of them stayed with the company very long due to flat out lies about equipment runs and pay
-
Yeah I think one of you guys prior to us went there and then quit 2 weeks later?
-
That would be my brother his driver trainer had him lie on his log book the first day and ripped the elog out of the truck and stomped on it

Well I finished school today. Sorry it has taken so long for me to finish this. Been super busy. So I passed my CDL test today. I took the test at 9am this morning and was home in Erie Pa by 230.
.
I have to say that for me and from my viewpoint, Keystone Diesel training is money well spent. The instructors, from the classroom training to the driving instructors are very knowledgable and it was a great experience.
If you take it seriously, study, pay attention and dont goof around Keystone will train you well, which enables you to pass the CDL driving test, as well as getting all your endorsements (Tanker, doubles, triples, hazmat and air brakes).
Ohseven1098 answered most of the other questions but if there is anyone that is curious about something by all means ask away. I would not hesitate to recommend this school to my friends to want to get their CDL as well.
I am heading to TMC tomorrow morning (driving out haha) and start orientation on Monday morning.
Cant wait....

Congrats to all on graduating, Keystone is one of the few decent schools out there that actually try to prepare you for the "real world" of trucking. Now comes the fun part of picking which carrier to start with. Unfortunately for those of us in western PA (I live in Meadville, PA), your choice of starting carrier is sadly somewhat limited if you are too far north of Pittsburgh. Let me know what trailer you are interested in, and I will be more than happy to provide my personal opinion on those carriers that I have personal experience working with.
I wish I could offer all of your jobs with my carrier, but we require a minimum of three months OTR experience before we can consider you. I know y'all will be decent drivers, cause PA has some of the best drivers out there (in my considered, and completely unbiased opinion...yeah right). I also know Keystone's program, and have always been impressed by it. So if you ever want the opinion of a driver who's been around a bit, and wants to help the newer guys out in avoiding some of the traps in this industry, let me know.
