Well I got to the truck, turned it over, did a pre trip, got some messages 2 accidents in 4 hours one day. No pre trip. Leave tomorrow or atleast get my assignment in the morning. Eager to get back on the road....looks like some snow 1-3" and frigid temperatures are in the forecast. Can't wait to get rollllllllling!

Finished up my delivery at Aldi early yesterday morning. Let me tell you, this was the most stress-free visit to a grocery warehouse I have yet to encounter. They allow overnight parking, and I was unloaded in only 30 mins. Lumper only charged $50 to boot! This place gives me a beacon of hope for these dreadful grocery warehouses.
I finished up there and deadheaded 92 miles to the IKEA DC, now I'm currently sitting at a dock bay at the IKEA in Schaumburg, Illinois. Unfortunately, some real butt head decided to drop a trailer there with a huge patch of tread missing from one of the tires. Looks like I have to be a hero and get that tire replaced. Stopped by the Columbus terminal on the way to my destination, got the tire fixed and had my truck looked at by a mechanic to see what needs to be replaced. Sounds like it will need body work done in the near futuresigh. Next preplan is a deadhead to Minooka heading for Kansas City, Kansas. Gotta bundle up for this trip, the wind chill here in IL is supposed to be -20 tomorrow BRRR!!!!! Safe travels fellers.

Good afternoon all. good to see some positive things about a company. im a recent graduate from all state in philadelphia and am looking to get my foot in the door somewhere. i did go to us xpress orientation and lets just say that was not a pleasant experience. Im 6 foot 3 and had to duck walk under a 3 and a half foot table without hitting my head or losing balance. kinda tough to do when your that tall and wearing work boots. correct me if im wrong but i believe if anyone had to get under a trailer that they would more than likely use their knees to do so. im not here to bad mouth them i was just a littled disappointed in that they didnt have any leaneance with a taller person but here i am seeking a good company to start with. any insight would be great. thanks!

Just wanted to let you guys know that I got a link from Leah to an application after explaining my 29 years of experience but none recent. I have a good feeling about being hired. That's crazy about that under the table test at USX! Wow! I worked for Smith Transport and US Express was bought into them years ago. Many things changed there from home time to holiday pay but I never saw or heard of things like that in orientation. I did mine years ago and things sure change fast. I can understand that companies don't want to invest in unhealthy people, I totally understand that but really like in Clays situation, I never knew they expected drivers to be able to limbo!
