I fear the consequences of my fiancée finding out I wasn't wearing one more than I do the consequences of being caught in an accident...

Yes dear! Every second I'm in a moving vehicle!

I wear mine whenever I drive the truck. Or my car. I know someone will come on here with examples of people that may have not died if they had not had a seatbelt on at the time of the crash. And while that has happened it is the exception, not the norm. Your best chance in an accident is to stay in you seat, not bounce around or get ejected.

I've spoken to other port drivers and they say they don't wear their seatbelt, only when they know a scale is coming up. Why don't they wear it? Beyond me.

I always wear mine no matter what vehicle I'm in.

Oh Well,I guess im gonna spoil the party............I never wear mine in any of my vehicles, Unless Im a passenger in someone elses car,I Will outta respect....

I have never worn a seatbelt since 1985(The year I got my drivers license)..Back Then NOBODY did, Wasn't Law, And I became accustomed to that..

So Now,The only time I'll click it is when a Scale is approaching or cops doing a DUI checkpoint.....

So before anybody gioves me the "shame on you"........Please Remember,We grew up Not having to wear them.....Just the way it was, So if I get caught not wearing one,I pay the Fine..Nobody else

A highschool friend was killed because he didn't have his on. Came over a hill and had a head-on. Was partially sticking thru the windshield when his girlfriend, who was trying to catch up after catching a red light then rear-ended him pulling him back thru the glass. 1st responder to the crash...his EMT father. Girlfriend wore hers, walked away, the guy he hit (was passing up hill on a double yellow) was wearing his, walked away...friend that wasn't wearing his, died enroute to the hospital.

I even had my wife make a seat belt wrap around cover out of an old safety vest because my company shirt is dark, the seat belt is dark and the seat is kinda dark...that way even the cops that sit in the median with their headlights shining across my lane have no trouble seeing it.
