In regards to the OP's question, loss of jobs is now typically the first thing I see when my newsfeed gets bombarded with links to videos related to mass pileups like these.
Don't know if it's evil to think like that or not.
But having been fired from a couple of companies for various reasons, it's an ingrained thing for me I'm guessing.

That would have been my thought too...if that driver and the one that just plowed into that mess weren't with the same company (R+L). My guess is that word got to the second guy to slow down for the wreck.

People these days don't help anyone, they just film everything.

Tell me, how is a civilian (non-cop, or someone with a vehicle without flashy lights) going to get the drivers to slow up a mile before this? What, he's to swerve all over the freeway (remember all the ice on the road?) until people stop? Sorry, you may not mind that being a 194 car pile up, and you going to the hospital, but I do.
Or did you think anyone would actually slow down for some random person on the side of the road flapping their arms?

I mean common, get real. There was really nothing the guy taking the video could have done except possibly die.

isn't there a Flashing Red and Blue lights App on Smart phones these days?
    If not there should be.

If there was he should have turned on his app and ran headlong into the oncoming traffic making citizen arrests to any approaching vehicle that did not slow down and stop Per his orders.

    fairshake Thanks this.
