California, A load comes up, the first 10 trucks are just hanging out, the next 15 trucks turn it down because they don't want it. Then the next 15 trucks turn it down because they figure something is wrong with the load since it's made it so far down the board.

 

you think you are #1, til the guy running the west coast board decides to head east, or the guy sitting at home sees the load on the board and comes back on the board ahead of you since he had an earlier unload time. sometimes when youre #1 youre not # 1, you will learn that use it to your advantage. so if ya don't get that load on Monday when youre #1, you heard it here first, so don't think there is some conspiracy against you .

 

I'm confident I will get out without delays, I have to swing by pete, my Def doser has been plugging.. may take a day to get it in and replaced.

lol, I do it all the time. I lurk in the shadows and jump out and snatch loads. the popular conspiracy when loads cancel is they take em and give to 4 digit trucks, but it has been a good long while since I heard that one.

 

It is interesting that everyone keeps saying there is no CA freight. There is 263 SD loads within 300 miles of Madera, CA on internet truck stop. I delivered to Sirra Army Depot on Tuesday. They had 400 tracked vehicles to ship. Why can't we get a load? When I leased on they said we could book off load boards. Now that I need to, they will not let us. The only load I was offered one day was over 900 miles away. Look at the screen shot I took from internet truckstop.

if I recall correctly you may hired on with the van division right, get out that blue notebook binder and read it. it gives the procedure for getting aload outside the system.

it doesn't commonly happen. you misinterpret no loads, there may be loads but they aren't our loads. you also wont get an advance and wont get paid til they get paid, so if ya can swing it , it may be possible.

I simply stopped going that out that way. the 37 sate fleet is more consistent

 

Might try calling the calif.agent, tell them the loads your interested in on the other boards.If they booked the load for you, it would be a normal load for you, except the agent can then put it on you, without the waiting list.
Also the agent can tell you why we don't haul for certain other brokers, like not getting paid for 90 days.

Thanks. I don't care about Mercer taking a cut, as long as I get what I want. I ask about this before and contractor relations said that we could not do it. Maybe I will call ATO and see if they can get one for me.
