mercer transportation

I did start with Van. I did get out the blue book, but it does not tell who to talk to. I was referred to contractor relations. They said that we can't do it anymore. I don't mind if I find a load and Mercer books it for me, like a regular load.

As to no loads I know there are loads, but some loads are not even off the vessel yet and then they are putting 40' containers on as LTL with crap rates. How is a 35000 lbs 40' load, an LTL. I will not be coming to CA until spring.

 

I don't complain, I'm coming to cali at $2.06 a mile with 9000 lbs (mercer's special) while paying $1.94 a gallon of fuel..
it's January, it's dead everywhere and I'm still moving and making more miles than the guys up north from coast to coast.

 

I'm to new to complain ;-p.

 

those look like they were entered as ltl by mistake, lol. but those are the rates, its a good bit cheaper coming back, my advice is take the first one you are offered and turn and burn and don't bother going back even in spring. its like going to Laredo, get paid going in and takes the first thing smoking coming out.

 

I am still moving too, not racking miles , I am racking revenue.

 

We young guys still can stay up a bit longer. Lol

Feel your pain had a alcoa load yesterday in Ferndale, WA from LK2 but looks like CRST Malone got it first so hopefully soon as freight hits the bored today I'll have a load
