Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

i hear about all these apu problems, my trusty ol clima cab an wabasto heater have never failed me. but i kno alot of drivers dont like them but it has served me well

 

the old clima cab in my first truck was great , I have a dyna sys now , it's lame.
anyone know what's up with the rumors that Poly Corp is being sold ?
Is it time to start putting in applications again

I don't know too many companies or investment firms that would have that much money...I bet Mev was around a guy called Duffy...he is always pulling stuff like that...he apparently gets a kick out of f'g with people...when he is in one of his f with ya' moods, I usually start one-upping his stories until he get's p.o.'d and leaves.

Mev...in case you believe everything you hear...did you hear that Samsung is sick of being accused of stealing Apple's patients and bought them out? The logo will be the Android's body with an apple for it's head.... Or that they're having an ocean front property sale in Phoenix?

 

Thats about as funny as the one about Meghan returning my emails and phone calls....LOLOL

i think them not returning calls is the way they do things, backhaul doesnt call u back unless they have a load, no call, no load. i think its the same thing with hiring, if they havnt called u it means they passed on u at the moment for one reason or another. some would say its rude but imagine if backhaul called everyone back just to sAy we dont have a load for you, or if hr called back every applicant that they are not interested in, it would seem like a waste of time to me. when i first put in an app i forgot about it an it was 4 months later she emailed me back. just the way they do things an i dont mind. id rather have that than some company calling me up sAying we would like to get u in monday before even telling me what the pay is lol just my 2cent

 

plus HR hires for every department in the entire company. From machinist to be maintenance, trash collectors to truck drivers. They have thousands of employees and I am sure have thousands of applications every week to work in all areas of Poly America...one could see how someones application could get lost if it wasn't put on the 'hire now' list because they weren't looking for someone out of your area. I would re-apply after 6 months. Be politely persistent...

 

I point blankly asked the guy that was spinning the rumor what
facts he is basing this info on and he started ducking my questions.
His story fell apart , a little later the story grew some new legs and
another driver appeared stating
Exxonmobil or the Chinese where buying Poly.

 

Youre still trying to get on with Poly ?

When my application stalled I ended up doing the majority of the research for HR ,
I had to call my previous employers and get them going and filling out the Verification
request Poly had mailed them weeks earlier. I called one and she literally dug through
the FAX paperwork and found it , she and I went line by line filling it out on the phone
with me. That is what saved me and kept me in the loop .

They are hiring as fast as they loose folks , orientation was walking a few new hires through the break room yesterday , they looked very young comlared to the rest of us. Poly seemed to be made up of older drivers when I first started here , that's changing.
