Shop guy in Columbus told me that the new trucks are all condos again, and they all have the aero-wheel coverings. Also, they had one truck that came in from Lincoln that was leaking from the hub on a drive axle...driver never knew it. They had to replace everything on that axle. The aero-cover also covered the leaking hub...

Seems like Lincoln is having issues getting it togeather lately. I've had several load assignments with wrong times in the last week. They can't seem to problem solve at all and it's taking forever to get a response back to any message sent. So is it Lincoln or is it just me?

Sitting on the street in front of a customer, flashers on, screwing up traffic while I wait for the shipping office to open. Just another day, just another fictional appointment time. (sigh...)

Anyone else stay parked instead of driving on I80 in Nebraska over the weekend? The roads were a solid sheet of ice, and high winds, of course. Only reason I drove as far as I did is because I really wanted Lil Caesars, haha.
I ended my day about an hour west of North Platte, right when the snow was starting (clock was out, not the snow). In the morning I drove on the ice for about 200 miles for pizza and because I didn't know how bad the roads were everywhere ahead. When I woke up later at night, I called dispatch to ask them if they thought I should even leave, being just a few hours west of them. They told me to just wait, so I didn't argue. I was going to just take off before that, but I checked the road conditions online and it looked pretty bad still.
Interesting ride though. The shoulders and median on I80 looked like a vehicle dump yard. Hope one was the guy that tryed to blow my mirrors off going 80 on a solid sheet of ice... -

So are Crete/Shaffer trucks locked at 62 mph still? Just curious.

Sometimes you just have to stop and call it a day. I hope some dispatcher was not pushing him to keep driving.
