Oh I'm sorry didn't know we were still playing along with the story my bad. Op trying adjusting your airbags, and move the fifth wheel again that seem to help move the weight off the trailer. Pretty sure if you drain the reefer, fuel/water separater, window washer fuild and power steering that might save you 600. Do you have a lot of food storage? Put them on the side off the road and pick them up right after you scale. But honestly..... if you do open that reefer, take a picture it must be a mess in there. If there a lot of blood dripping out the back...Then maybe the whole 22 pallets fell over

Makes no difference to the situation if hes over on the tandems. neither will dumping air, unless they remove from the heads of whom ever suggested dumping air.

Dont mess with the suspension, No hes has never been CA legal, no he obviously did not scale it when he loaded, just move 20 boxes forward and be done with it.

And I am sure there are a lot of these shippers who ship meat for free, if you say anything to your DM they just say that is the way it is, you aren't getting paid for the weight according to them, just the run.

Heres the easy way to remember about sliding weight. Is you always move the axle toward the weight to shift it, so he would need to strech it out not make it shorter. So this also would mean adjust the 5th wheel does nothing to help, and besides he has enough room to hold the weight on his drives, but this would require streching out his wheel base.

Everyone that is suggesting sliding the 5th wheel, it does NOTHING for the trailer tandems. All that does it put weight on or take weight off the steer and drive axles. From one to the other. ONLY sliding the tandems on the trailer back will take weight off of them and put it on the truck. This is like one of the first things you should have learned.

Here is how it goes so you can remember....

Slide the 5th wheel forward, take weight off the drives and put it on the steers
Slide the 5th wheel back, take weight off the steers and put it on the drives
Slide the trailer tandems forward, take weight of the drives and steers and put it on the trailer tandems
Slide the trailer tandems back, take weight off the trailer tandems and put it on the drives and steer

Why does it put it both on the steer and drives? Because the truck distributes the weight to all axles. For instance if you put 1k on the truck it could distribute the extra weight like 800 on the drives and 200 on the steers. It could be different from that based on where your fifth wheel is.

Either way, moving your fifth wheel will NOT take any weight off your trailer tandems.
