This is a total curiosity question that really has no real meaning to life. I am going back to CDL school after being off the road for 30 years. I've been "pre-hired" by Schneider National out of the West Memphis terminal.
When I talked to their recruiter I ask what defined their "region". He showed me a map of everything south of I-80 and east of the Mississippi. Has anyone here driven for SNI regional out of Memphis that has knowledge of their "region"? I've seen or been told that they only run three or four states in the southeast and others talk about Texas and Kansas?
Makes no difference really, I'm committed. But I am curious. I won't start the the first of March.
Thanks,
Schneider National Regional Vans

you can run any where of up to 800 airmiles. if you got on a dedicated then it might be only 3 states

I ran for Schneider van regional out of the gary, in. terminal. they ran me all over. made it as far as Houston! what I would say is that you will probably be on the 11 day out 3 day home schedule and they will run you anywhere you can get to in 11 days and make it back. keep in mind, if you want to be home after 11 days you need to put in for your hometime every week you go out. let me guess, they probably said youll get 2300-2500 per week? you wont. I was having a hard time getting 2000/wk averaging approx. $650/week GROSS. with all the excuses, lack of communication, added rules to an already over regulated industry and mechanical issues, they were not right for me. $650/ week for a 70 ish hour week just didn't work for me, but to each their own. good luck, maybe west Memphis has it together better that the idiots in gary. terminals are real nice though if you get to a full service one

Um I think they mean 2300 - 2500 miles per week. Not $$$ I think van start at 37 cent?
Let's do the math. In order to make 2000/week with .37.... You have to do 900 miles a day, thats about 81mph... for 11 hours.... -
you obviously didn't read my comment. "We The People" and then you must have stopped. how does "had a hard time getting 2000/week avg $650/wk gross. translate to you that I thought id get 2300-2500 dollars?!?! absolutely meant miles, Deleted! and ,depending on experience, van starts at .32 and that's if you opt out of the "per-diem" option. otherwise you get .30

Probably the same thing I would do if I sat on a COLD one?

I believe most insurance policies cover anxiety disorders? Just thought I'd mention it.

Thanks, for the input! Yes they said 2000-2500 which I thought was a little short anyway but with their truck governed at 62 MPH you won't be doing any highballing for miles. They do start at .35 with .02 raise every 90 days the first year and .02 performance bonus each quarter.
Its close and handy for me. Either way, I just need to get a year in and make plans after that. I'm retired from being an IT geek and going back to trucking after 30 years to wait for my wife to retire in 5 years. If I make too much the #### Feds will take away my SS check anyway!
