Okay so I bought the Garmin 10, really like it but I would like some different opinions on where those of you who have had one longer mount it. As of now I have it mounted on the drivers side window, top right. Now for those that know Cascadias you know that the windshield wipers don't reach there. I was driving through Calgary the other day and so much ice and sand were caked up there the camera couldn't have seen anything. I have tried some other spots but mounting it at the bottom doesn't seem to provide a good angle.
Also, it seems impossible to pick up any of the right side of the truck, same for the other side if I mount it over there and I figure the left is more important to film. I want to be able to easily reach it so I can save a file while driving, although I guess I could forgo this requirement. I'm so new to dashcams I guess I need to know the real world limits and what those of you who are more experienced are doing. I k ow you have to sacrifice some portion of the truck to be filmed and I would like to hear your reasoning behind which sacrifices you made.
Dashcam mounting, Cascadia.

I have the same cam. Mounted on passenger side near the center post where the wiper still cleans the windshield in the rain/snow. Works like a champ.

Mine is mounted on the right windshield on top right.
Little to the right of the Wiper Sweep (not sure if that's the correct term or not) -

truckon Thanks this.

P.S. Remember you can angle the cam more to the left if that is what you are worried about.

That was a Typo now that I think about it.
Close to the middle.
Sounds like close to the same spot as CJndaTruck -
Mine is mounted bottom right on the driver window. Enough to be in the wiper sweep. Not the best angle but enough to tell what's going on and who's at fault
