CPM is only a small part of the compensation package, yet everyone seems to think that more CPM = a bigger paycheck. It does not.

CPM does nothing for the driver sitting in traffic, taking a 20 hour break between loads, or waiting 6 hours for the receiver to finish paperwork so they can leave.

Hirschbach's dedicated fleet pay their drivers like $1000 to $1250 per week according to their site. They probably spending for drivers the app and installing tv, hbo, dvr, whatever.

I'm bringing in .43 for every mile I drive. Even if I go out of route for whatever reason.

Plus $70 cellphone allowance and $35 a day for meals :)

    I get 5200 miles every 10 days then I am home for 4 1/2.

    I have no complaints....well, not many :biggrin_25525:

A couple of years ago I leased to a local long haul company. One time they wanted me to run 5100 miles in 6.5 days.
The load going out was about 2600 miles in 2.5 days. Solo. I was 3 hrs late. I told'em it would be. There are still companies running this way. Last I checked, they are still in business. The dispatchers acted like they never heard of hours of service rules. I didn't stay long. The rate to me was crap anyway.

Hirschbach promised me "$1250/week guaranteed minimum". I recently talked to a second year lease driver who gave pretty convincing testimony of a steady $1400-1600 net on his lease-purchase. Maybe that's one of the superior outfits.
