Low Miles At Schneider Regional

I've only been with the company a few months but thinking about quitting. The last week I drove 1800 miles in 5 days. With 2-3 stops a day, live loads/unloads, looking for empty trailers, company mistakes with paperwork - a lot of time is wasted leaving me 6-8hrs/day driving. I was told by the recruiter average is 2100-2400/week with 2 days off. I guess they didn't specify they meant 2 nights at home i.e. getting home late Saturday and going back Monday.
Anybody had similar issues?

 

Yes I did explain my issues but he tried to convince me it's because I work on weekends and weekend loads are light, and because they don't wanna send me very far and not get me home on time. But when I worked 7 days straight (Sunday-Saturday) my cross pay was maybe $200 more. So to me making $100/day gross isn't worth it even while getting experience.
I'm pretty sure any company makes more per mile with these 100-200 mile runs, while paying drivers same flat rate, increasing their profits.
No I haven't transitioned to the regular DBL. This is Gary OC running mostly WI, IL, IN, OH and MI

 

I haven't counted the miles in previous weeks, but myaychecks were pretty much the same. I made about $200 more when working all 7 days so it's about the same per day. 2100/week wouldn't be so bad. I'm not expecting to make a lot in my first year, but I'm sure I can do better than this. Not only you have the slowest and dirtiest truck, but also the lowest pay Lol.

 

Yes I know that, but even if I get 400-500 mile trips with a few short ones I'd be ok. My average trip last week was 120 miles.
