The Sirius gets its signal from a further south satellite....XM in a little more south west.
So the Siruis signal is a little lower on the horizon from XM.. -
Nope.
XM satellites are geostationary (over the equator) at 85° (south of Tallahassee) and 115° (south of Las Vegas).
Sirius satellites are in a highly elliptical Tundra orbit, and spend most of their time hovering over Manitoba.Jeremy102077 and EZ Money Thank this. -
Where exactly is the antenna on a 2017 Kenworth T680? I don't even see it. Just got the truck, and this signal crap sucks!!
-
The 2015 T680 I was driving did not have XM radio but I think it is part of the integrated antenna,
Probably under the head liner somewhere.. -

Heck,I use the little disc car antenna....3M 2 way tape to the mirror arm or top of visor and it always worked fine.
I never needed the big antenna.
The truck in my sig pic it is on the top of the mirror over the passenger door. -
It's stock so on the roof.
-
I use the stock antenna, 3m double side tape and stay all season and truck wash. I also have a midroof truck so it's kinda flat on top.
When I had a condo or a midroof with fairing, I use a bird perch mount and it work fine.EZ Money Thanks this. -
Look at the CB section of any Truck stop and find a silver Volvo straight bar about 6 inches long.... You can remove 1 bolt from the right side blind spot mirror over the passenger door...it screws right in and there you go....Trucker Marx and tucker Thank this.
