I had high hopes again of finding some crawfeesh er dem mud bugs while down here but it appears as if I fail again. I did get two street tacos from the lunch cart here at the terminal. They were delicious.

I know not of what you speak.

Those are things that I don't touch, much less eat.
    LOL

Springfield, CO at the Springfield Truck Stop. Good food here. Off in the wee hrs to deliver to King Soopers in Aurora in the morning. Really hoping to get away from these US routes to get back to Richmond for home time. Time to catch some Zzz's.

If you want crawfish get a load heading east along interstate 10 Lafayette Louisiana has a bunch of places right off the interstate, you can stop and eat as many as you want.

I'm astonished at how many drivers refuse to do that. If I see that I'm going to arrive more than ~12 hours early, I call. Unless it's a drop at someone's DC, then I just show up.

Heck, even if I'm told that I can't deliver early, I usually show up early anyway. Worst case is I'll have to go find some place to park for a while... and the guard usually knows the nearby spots.

Those are the best, show up and go off duty the whole time you are there doing your work off Swift's radar then only show 15 minutes for arrival/departure and 4 hour live unload.

    Kingsville, TX at Love's.

I was pleasantly surprised with my delivery this morning in Mission, TX.
As I was driving in I noticed how clean and bright green everything looked. This area is one of the nicest I've experienced in TX.
I get to the customer about 20 minutes early, and there were only two other trucks there. I was assigned a door and was unloaded in just over 30 minutes.

Then I head to Bishop for my next load.
I ended up going in a 2 mile circle a couple times before I finally figured out how to find the address. Road construction had the road closed off from that end and I had to find an alternate route.
Once there, it is only a very small drop yard, it took less than 30 minutes to be on my way.
I had less than an hour left on my 70 so I headed for the Love's 5 miles away, scaled the load and shut down until morning.

It's going to be nice to sleep in tomorrow morning. I've been up since 0045, and my starting times have been getting earlier by the day for the past several days.

This has been my most enjoyable trip into TX to date.
Even going through Dallas and Austin I had no delays due to traffic, and the customers have been excellent.
(Well, just that one yesterday due to some bad accidents. But it only cost me about 20 minutes.)
