In today's climate I'd not be surprised if the driver got sued for obstructing the criminal in the SUV from completing her intended action. [emoji61]

I'm thinkin' that a case could be made against
GM, the manufacturer of the SUV, for Vehicular Overprotection,
a blatant violation of an individual's Civil Suicide Rights To Commit.
The law is funny on that though. See, if the commitment is successful,
it ain't against the law.
IF, however, the act fails, it's an "Attempt(ed)" Suicide, and that's
illegal, punishable by a minimum sentence of death without possibility of
parole or pardon, --- once any and all injuries sustained durin' the attempt
have healed completely, ..... of course.
Sure wouldn't wanna execute an injured convict.
There's another angle to explore, --- the Big truck truck driver with the
Dash Cam, that the killer Big truck passed. IF, the driver with a dash-cam
had kept his foot in it, preventing the passin' Big truck from comin' back
over so soon, thereby leavin' the passin' driver hung out in the left lane, ---
directly even, --- cab-to-cab, mirror-to-mirror, --- a virtual wall-0-Big-Truck(s)
settin' the stage for a more successful committing instead of an unsuccessful
(illegal) attempt. I see the driver with the dash-cam as not bein' in the wrong
place at the right time, --- a possible HOS violation, and possibly drivin'
drowsy and/or distracted.
In today's climate. :smt047

With the exception of a few, the ugly on this topic is overwhelming. Remember what you dish comes back. X 10! Please don't save your compassion for Sunday, ok?

Compassion?? I'm going to make an assumption here and if I'm incorrect let me apologize to you in advance.
We have, as a whole, in this country, obliterated the distinction of right and wrong in the faux name of compassion we are witnessing daily the harvest.
The very fact a "suicidal" person would choose to attempt to cease living by potentially killing others is incontrovertible evidence of the road we're traveling.
My compassion is for the drivers impacted by this criminal act. Until we, as a society, cease to rationalize away these criminal acts in the name of "compassion", we will continue to reap times ten.allniter Thanks this. -
Show compassion - leave a length of rope in their cell.

Offer them a choice of the red pill or the blue pill....both do the same thing...and I am not talking about escaping the Matrix alive.

Back in the 90's sometime I read in the paper a letter to Dear Abby (sorry it was by the crossword). A woman wrote in and she was MAD. It seems another woman decided to kill herself, also by running into a truck. Her husband, the driver was killed along with her. I've remembered that letter for 20+ years. There are ways to off yourself without hurting or killing others. This woman put that driver in the hospital through her own selfish actions. And yea yea trying to kill someone else along with yourself is pretty selfish. And not everyone does the Sunday church thing.OceanDan Thanks this.

I remember back around 2000, down near Richmond Ky on I75, a lady stopped her car, got out and waited for a truck to come by. When one did she calmly and quickly stepped out in front of it. The driver had no time to react. Needless to say little was left of her. He was devastated by it.

I hear that's more common than people think, it just doesn't get media attention most of the time.
