Besides, when you're state is famous for having the most amount of governors in prison at the same time, you tend to not trust people. Does the phrase 'People's Republic of Illinois' mean anything? Loldannythetrucker and tsavory Thank this. -

KR reminds me of the late night infomercials that try to sell you the next generation of hair gel or cooking ovens LOL

I wish he would stop preaching that if you buy all the products and get your mileage up then you can keep hauling for low rates. I caught the tail end of a call today where he was praising an o/o with his own authority for netting .88 a mile. He's done the hard work and got his mileage up. I give 15% for authority and trailer rent and 5% to the guy who loads me. I don't have to do a lick of paperwork, I have no headaches, and when it's all said and done I'm putting a 10 cents a mile more in my pocket than the guy he said has done the hard work.
I also found it funny how he was saying Cummins was passing the buck and not owning up to their engine problems. Pot, meet Kettle.wore out Thanks this. -
It is the same reason he beats up on emission engines. Grant it I really dont like those engines. However, How do you explain owner operators and small fleet owners that are very successful that use emission trucks? This is really a legit answer that KR refuses to answer.
KR found his nitch and is basically no different than a late night TV show pitchman that push exercise DVDs and cooking ovens on late night TV.
Now it gets even better. Every year he has a so called "Convention" in Kansas City which he calls the CMC. This is basically is nothing more than a live infomercial where has his "favorite companies" come and pimp their wares. Basically you are paying $1,400 to listen to people that KR deems to be the demigods of the trucking industry lol. The best part is these people he brings as "experts" to infomercial/seminar convention are only a legend in their own mindsThey are nothing but salesmen that give a presentation with an agenda to push you towards their products. You ask me how I know this.....a friend of mine actually went and recorded a few of the so called seminars. The seminars are laced with basic trucking industry information (or mis-information) with a story on top lol. Then they salt and pepper it with their own products or reference another vendors product to make everything all better LOL.
My advise...dont take KRs word as gospel.....but dont entirely discount it either. Just do your own homework. There other other free resources out there. Do your own homework. Call the OOIDA and other trucking groups for information. Go to truck shows and network with other successful O/O, drivers and explore other vendors.Last edited: Apr 26, 2015
