Looking for my first driving job. Looking for flatbed or tanker. I am not seeing any (non hazmat) tanker jobs that run west coast for new drivers. Looks like several midwest and East. Anybody with suggestions?

Robertsons Ready Mix - dry bulk cement and fly ash; non-hazmat tankers.

    Steel Maverick Thanks this.

I thought about them if I was staying in SoCal, I need a company that runs the NW or Idaho since I'm moving to Boise.

Take what you can get, then change jobs in Boise.
Check if Jones Bros. Trucking will hire you now, then you won't have to change jobs when you move to Boise.

The need to work six or seven days a week is a myth perpetrated be the cheap junk dry/reefer companies. Glad to see people getting it and skipping that whole step all together.

Are you looking for foodgrade/non hazmat only? Or are you going to get your hazmat in the future?

I have a 5 year old felony (non violent or drug related) and not sure if I can get the hazmat right now. It seems like a 50/50 shot with the others that have been cleared through TSA with records only 4 or 5 years old.

It is seven years for a felony and hazmat. Plus you have to find some one to hire you with said felony. You will get a job with someone. First year is crappy for a lot people in this business.
