Do a year. Only because when you start jumping early it leads to job hopping. Trust me on this. I'm not trying to steer you wrong. You'll learn the ability to deal with certain situations that arise.

I say go with the truck with APU's unless the other company doesnt care about idling. I drove for Transport America and FFE and neither had APU's. I drove only from November to May but when I was in Laredo and it was hot as hell in the Parking lots I dont care about isle bonuses. I want cool air and the hum of my diesel to put me to sleep.

What about TWT out of Spokane Wa? All KW fleet and starts out at .40 cpm? They hire students and only hire washington idaho and Oregon.

No they don't. Out of Idaho, they only hire for heavy hauling. I'm not interested in flat bed work unless it pays 3 to 5 cents more (depending). I also talked to the recruiter, and training is roughly 8 weeks long. Absolutely a no-no for me. Thanks for the tip though. They are owned by systems transportation.

TWT also hires out of CA also. But they are a good company to work for that's for sure. What about JJ Williams? They might hire tanker drivers out of Idaho

I called, the recruiters told me you have to be in certain cities like Seattle or portland. Believe me, i've tried them all. I am just going to do at least 6 months with May Trucking and move on to bigger and better things... that will give me time to sell the house too so I'm not tied down to anything in Idaho.

Yes, but i didn't want to look anymore. I made my decision. I'll chase after tanker jobs next.

Both good and bad about Gordon. I have never heard of a driver having a good experience with Knight; except the trainers.

Looks like I'm going with Doug Andrus in a couple of weeks. Starting on Reefer until a trainer opens up for Flatbed. I was looking at May or Gordon, but I like the smaller companies.
