So for example on post #1648, If I set Rand to allow freeway witch mine is set, your saying it will route on to US 90 for what reason? I figure if its set to fastest and allow freeways rand should keep you on the freeway I-10 witch is faster and not route you on to US 90. Normally when I set to prefer rand will take me out of the way to stay on a freeway. So I set to allow since I figure it will route fastest route and not take me out of the way to stay on an us highway or a freeway but keep me on the fastest route. In this case I-10 is fastest so even if set to allow should the system keep you on the freeway and not take you to an old bumpy slow US 90 built back in 19 freaking 27 LOL!!

Hey Mark I've got myself a new Rand McNally tablet and I've got a couple of problems that I hope I'm not repeating from someone else. the speed indicator seems to jump around from whatever my speed is to 0 and back over and over and sometimes it actually shows me going 10 miles an hour faster then what I'm really going. in doing this sometimes it actually shows me not on the road anymore like it did on I 80 in Nebraska. I have it mounted almost dead center in my windshield away from any possible GPS interference and there's no electronics near it all also I've noticed it's not sealed very well I already have dirt underneath the screen and I've only had it for 2 days. It's been connected to wi-fi and it's fully up to date.
Edit~~~
Now that I got a chance to actually open the forums on a laptop I noticed the question of the flashing to 0 on the tablet speedo has been asked and adressed already before. Any word from RM on a resolution to that? Sorry for the duplicate question.
And I swear the thing is a dirt magnet under the glass. I turn it off and look at it in the light, and there are specks I cant get rid of! *OCD outs on it*
Oh and it just did another update to the Truck GPS.....hmmm
Also any way to make a suggestion about the dashcam...like...disable to auto focus? Let you manually focus it where you want and it stays. I'm looking over my videos and 80% of the video is a closeup of a very interesting dead bug. Or the suction cup.Last edited: Apr 26, 2015

I have run into this also. Don't worry, help is on the way. They are chipping away at the bugs in the code. ....

Thanks, Mark, for sticking with this one. I don't know how many drivers are running Windows on a BootCamp
partition out there, but it can't be many. I'm impressed with yours and RM's tenacity in hunting this down.Mark Kling Thanks this. -
I bought it about 1 month ago. The white screen has happened twice. It's locked up 5 or 6 times. It only takes about 1 hour for the battery to drain and shut off. It's a refurbished unit that I bought direct from Rand. -
Thanks,
mark -
The "0" is fixed awaiting a new version release.
What version of dash cam are you running?
Thanks,
mark -
Thanks,
mark -
Yeah the dirt is under the glass on the actual LCD. I'm in my 7 and 30 day purchase periiod with flying j, should I just exchange it there?
Good to know about the update, I'm sure it will get nailed down and good to know it's not something I've done.
And version 2.3 -
I will ask RM if they want to see this table first.
Thanks,
Mark
