I really like the Kenworth, Peterbilt, Freightliner, Western Star, Mack, Volvo, White and Sterling.
I prefer them not to have an engine, all engines are junk in my humblest of opinions, we should have adopted jet power long ago. -
Warp drive maybe even better. With a cloaking device, of course.

I am running a frieghtliner with DD16. 600 hp 2050 torque. Just turned 262,000 KM. It has never ran a regen YET!

Isn't the cummins just as good if not better than the Detroits?
-
Well that's a matter of opinion. The new cummins were having a little trouble dealing with the cold up here in Northern BC. Well so we're the DD's but seems DD worked it out first.

They tried gas turbine engines in the 70s. Didn't work too well.

I'm going to guess you're joking. The Acert engines were junk and were the last straw before cat said to hell with highway truck engines. I guess they just couldn't meet all the new emissions standards without the engine being a steaming pile of crap.

Just found that out today, so my buddies friend said that the Cummins would be the top rated engine out there, he's been a driver for 30 years and has experienced the DD's cat's n' Cummins, he prefers the Cummins and I think they are one hell of an engine but it seems like Detroit has more to offer like axles, transmission, all that stuff. (By the way buddies dad drives Western Star) I like both but I think it's mainly about the engine. Both trucks seem to be equal.
