This is interesting. Another way to drive up the cost for commercial and non commercial vehicles.

If people do not have the common sense to slow down, or pay attention to what they're doing. Then, the wreck is their fault. Plain and simple. What's next? Will the cars be labeled as a level 4 and above autonomous vehicle as well? Just like the old saying, "You can't fix stupid. You can't fix it no matter how hard you try".

Honestly I really don't understand your question, Do I drive for Conway Truckload or am I an employee ?? I personally don't drive for Conway my husband does and I've been on the road with him for 5yrs now fulltime, so yes to the driving for Conway, and yes to being an employee because you can't be one and not the other. Hopefully that's what you were asking. The area where we've been the last few week has been slow, they DH us from Washington down to Reno,NV just to be able to pickup a load,

I'll be in Joplin Saturday morning. I'm happy to trade this old 13 speed 680 for your brand new automatic...or you can have what's behind door number 2...it's a baby trucker

Is Conway Truckload switching over to automatic transmissions, or is your truck more the exception than the rule?

Either way, good luck with your new truck, and continued good luck with your driving career at Conway Truckload.

God bless you and your family! God bless the U.S.A.!

They aren't going to make a full switch for a while yet. They need more time to see how the maintenance aspect plays out. Right now the autos are saving them money, but so did the Pro Stars and 680's at first. Both were plagued with maintenance issues, which is why the fleet is divided like it is.

Since my qualcomm was out of commission for a while, I took the shuttle to Wal-Mart to pickup a few things. On the way back, there was a baby trucker going to the hotel. I believe he said he tests out Monday and then goes solo from there if he passes. Asked him how did it go? He said it was rough at first in the beginning because his finisher stayed on him all the time, but as he learned how to drive better and better things steadily got better and better. Overall, he said it was a good experience. He said he had a good finisher. Might have been the one you just dropped off.
