You don't read very well do you? I did not write anything about any mugshot magazine. It's also called DAC not DAT,
also known as HIRE RIGHT SERVICES. I also have never told any privately owned company or the Government how to conduct there business, although I do have a right to tell the Government anything I want. I guess you never heard of the Constitution. You are obviously a person of limited experience. You don't know what your talking about. Don't tell me what to think or who I should work for. I know that DAC puts false information from personal experience. About 8 years ago I received a check from DAC SERVICES because someone else filed a class action lawsuit against them because DAC had put false information about them on there DAC report. I received a check for $156.00 from them because in the time frame this lawsuit covered I challenged some false information that they where forced to remove. Ignorant people like you are a moral hazard to the rest of us. This website, TTR was created so truck drivers would have a venue to counter the illegal and unethical practices that some trucking companies practice against drivers. By the way Mugshots.com is a website that trys to extort money from people to remove their mugshots from it's website. It is owned by a man who served time in Federal Prison for credit card fraud. You should look and listen more often instead of running your mouth about subjects you know nothing about. Good day to you sir!

Well I didn't mean to start a squabble guys. I was just trying to express just how embarrassing and humiliating it was after talking with friends who drove for Landstar and telling my family for the past year about how I was going to step my game up to the next level by going there only to be "blacklisted" by a company I drove over 300 missions for and did my job. Landstar's head of applications was very matter of fact about the situation. Although 'technically', I still qualified based on Landstar's "minimum" qualifications they hung me on the fine print that says ;." Landstar reserves the right to use it's own discretion in hiring". Regardless of the circumstances of these DAC entries, the important thing as far as Landstar was concerned was the verbage used by Millis by calling the incidents "preventable". Even though I paid for the damage to the trailer by way of forfeiting over $2000.00 worth of bonus I would have received for almost a year and even though the sinking of the trailer in the second incident and the flat spotting of the tire were absolutely unintentional and certainly non egregious, the fact that they were listed as preventable was easily more than enough for Landstar to pass on me.
I got me an education on Hire Right in the interim as well. I learned that Hire Right doesn't work for me, they work for the trucking companies....duh !
I had already disputed 2 of the 3 entries on the DAC with HireRight. They told me that the chances of removing the items was slim and that at best, they may be able to change the status' from preventable to non-preventable. Landstar assured me that this would not be enough to change their minds !!!
So I officially dropped my dispute with Hire Right as I have hired an outside agency to sue Millis Transfer to remove these items from my DAC report and to seek monetary damages if necessary for relief from Millis for the damage they have done to my ability to find gainful employment.
I didn't expect to be spending this time defending my driving record. My brother put up half his life savings buying our truck and we'd rather be leased and rolling rather than fighting this crap !!
We're working with Southern AG and Mercer, both of whom seem to realize who Millis is and recognize that these items were not DOT reportable and give me the credit I deserve for 2 years of safe, compliant driving with Central/Swift and Millis. I still have an accident free, ticket free MVR. I can only give it up to God and fight the good fight. I do feel that the DAC reporting system needs an overhaul. Big companies shouldn't be allowed to put whatever they feel on your DAC just because you don't want to work for them any longer.tlalokay and loose_leafs Thank this. -
If you give it everything you've got your bound to succeed sooner or later. Just stay focused on your goals and be persistent. Some companies are more picky about who they will hire for many different reasons. I have heard that SCHINDER has a pretty good lease program. Give them a call and see what they have to offer. Good luck and safe travels wherever your choices take you.

These dac things scare the crap out of me coming in. I'm doing my time and then getting away from big companies. ####, even AAA made an inquiry with hire right, and their positions are non cdl
Dinomite Thanks this. -
By the way in my driving career I dropped a trailer on asphalt and the landing gear sank all the way up to the bottom of the trailer. I have also put some pretty good dents and scratches. on a few trailers. I always report anything that I damaged to the company I worked for at the time. The company I sank the landing gear did not put it on my DAC. It depends on the company.

Air breeze literally 80% of your post was about mugshots.com. Then at the end of it, you said that the country shouldn't allow corporations to do stuff like this. Saying that it violates our constitutional rights, and our freedom is in peril.
It definitely came off like you were trying to equate DAC to mugshots.com. And legislate whether companies could use them I think maybe you're not so good at conveying your message.Last edited: Jun 16, 2015

I mean exactly what I say. And yes I do equate DAC and Mugshots.com as part of the same problem. If you can't see that a third party entity can cause damages to people with impunity that don't have the knowledge or resources to defend themselves against libel / slander or blackmail then so be it. We are all entitled to our own beliefs and opinions. I call it like I see it. I don't care if you or anyone else agrees with my opinions.
loose_leafs Thanks this. -
I am interested in seeing how it all turns out, and I hope you win. Just know that now that you are involved with a lawyer, don't expect any quick answers or solutions. Anticipate at least a year and a half before any initial ruling or settlement. I can see Millis or dirtbag outfits like them) passing the buck to Hireright as far as any wrongdoing.
In my opinion, Millis has always been a bottom feeder that for some reason seems to think their doodoo doesn't stink. Nearly ten years ago their recruiters acted like I was pulling their teeth out, trying to get them to answer any questions about benefits/pay/hometime etc on the phone...I lived less than 60 miles from their home terminal and tried to tell me I was not in their hiring area.
It is not that hard to tell a good employee from a bad one just by an app, and it is also not very hard to catch someone lying about their work history. 10 jobs in 5 years usually shows a bad employee with an attitude problem.
I completely agree with you with DAC, almost nowhere else in our world are hiring practices so stringent for jobs that usually pay so little. By background checks you can usually tell by SSN # where someone has worked, and for a work record call the former employer direct. DAC/Hireright has given these dirtbag outfits a free for all to slander people and ruin lives with no consequences for lying, and it needs to stop.Last edited: Jun 16, 2015

JUST got accepted with Southern AG. They pay 80% of the load and I pay cost for fuel at the terminal. Very happy !!
I plan on pursuing Millis to the far corners of hell if necessary to remove these things from my DAC. Thanks for the input guys and stay safe out there !!Ooops, JV_620, atlasshruggery and 2 others Thank this.
