Got my orientation done! Got my truck. Getting things fixed (inverter, cabinet door, qualcomm) before my relay gets here about midnight going over to Oregon. 1500+ mile run right off the bat. Real impressed with the company from day one. Think I'll be happy! I like running the nights. Less traffic and when I decide to park in the morning there's always plenty of parking! Look forward to the running and making my pennies.

Made it to my pickup here in Earthquake Country,,,,aka, Ca. Kind of feels like that, the place has some kind of machine or pulverizer or something, every few seconds BOOM!!...and the whole shipping office trailer and the ground underneath me would literally move a couple of inches.... When I got to my truck across the street I could still feel it shaking the truck!! lol. Never a shortage of interesting stuff here out west. Bad part is they are going to have to swap the load at some point east, my 70 hr recap isn't going to be enough to get into Wisconsin by the delivery time. Sucks because this would've been a great run. Oh well, maybe they will get me swapped with something going home by next week. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Good luck, Chasing dollars. You'll like it at GPT. I haven't been on here,in quite awhile, been running pretty hard. 3100+ every week. A great thing is all my loads have been pre assn. So no sitting around, the shortest run I got was,834 miles, the rest have been 1500- 2950 per run. The thing I like most is,that I never hear from dispatch, just roll! Most of our customers will load, and unload, you early, keep that in mine, they treat us good. Keep the left door shut and you'll make good money!!

It is hot in southeast Washington today! The apu and reefer are working overtime. Will be heading out before long to go to the receiver in Oregon.

Idaho was pretty nice this morning. Had the Windows down and you could smell the pine trees.
I'm hoping for a pre assignment for tomorrow. I'll be early, so I'll cross my fingers and hope for a early unload.

Could you imagine trying to sleep there? The hum of the apu, reefer put me to sleep, but don't think I could handle that impact sound.

Yeah basically it was the metal place across the street, they didn't get done loading me until late, and only a couple of hours left on my 14(I'm still wondering wth it is with all these places in California they are so slow at anything). Got as far as wendover Nevada tonite, hoping to get this load swapped out, it's been a bit crazy this week.

Got a load that loads in the a.m. But delivers on Friday. Hopefully it is a drop or can drop it at the yard and grab something else. Otherwise might be sitting a few days.

Already swapped here for a 3 stop run, finishing out in NH then hoping loading to get home that Friday. Bad news is the weather is supposed to turn crappy again, so may have to cancel any riding plans. I don't know what's going on..... I think Ma Nature must have a conspiracy! Lol

O-hi-o bound in the a.m. good long run though, right back the way i came. And if the weight is correct I well be pushing up against max. Going to have to keep at half tanks it seems. Guess when I hit the yard I can do laundry and stay the night and take some stuff out the truck I don't think I'll be using for a while. And probably do a 34 there in Ohio. . Maybe????
