There's a bunch of heavy people out here. I would really consider better companies though.

I have no experience and need my schooling paid..

Prime is better than usa. I don't support or tell people prime is the way to go as it was not my cup of tea. But if you want paid for schooling. Then go to prime. Better program than USA trucking. Just go company with prime. Do not do lease unless you are completely qualified to run a business and know trucking.

Then it's not worth that much to you.

Are you going thru C-1?
If you complete the school, then USA rejects you due to BMI, then go with a company that hires new CDL grads and accepts your current DOT Medical Card.
TransAm
Freymiller
Magnum Ltd.
Paschall Truck Lines -
Neither. Conway Truckload. As for your BMI? If you get a DOT medical card you're OK to work. Some companies require an agility test, which might be a problem depending on your ability to do light repetitive motions on a time clock. It's not hard, or demanding, but it's real exertion.

It's been several years since I went through the C1 USA Truck school and job. While at C1 I noticed a lot of the people in our class being called out and told that their job offer had been withdrawn. To the best of my memory this was always students that were headed to Pam not USA Truck. I have no direct knowledge of the reasons I suspect most were people not being up front about their backgrounds and Pam finding this out later. I also think that Pam will also do this if they suspect you have or may have a problem with diabetes. To the best of my knowledge USA Truck will hire you if you can get that DOT card. However your weight will cause you a problem that you might not be aware of at this point. That problem is sleep apnea. Some medical examiners are requiring sleep studies if your neck size is over a set point and your BMI is over 35. To the best of my knowledge there are no current FMCSA regulations mandating this, only guidelines that ME's are not mandated to follow. This may change in the future. My best advice for you is to really try to get your weight down (I know this is easier said then done) this will help you with avoiding sleep apnea or problems resulting from that extra weight like diabetes. Good luck with your future career!

I work for USA TRUCK...and I can say from experience that we are a great company...I wouldn't worry about the weight issue...if u can perform the basics without physical problems...u will be fine here
