Not a terrible day..but hardly a great one either.

It's nice when you sleep soundly...it really is. Unless some...steering wheel holder comes along and puts a gash in the side of the truck you've been doing your best to keep clean, looking good and mostly blemish free...

Yeah. That happened. No, I didn't wake and I didn't discover it until I really got into the light in the yard. Midnight pretrips are okay, unless the flashlight you're using is starting to go dead and you're not looking for something like that anyways.

Got back to the yard, dropped on time. Walked around to the passenger side and there it was. Just in front of the passenger side cargo door... Two nice gashes. Six inches across and just as far apart...

Took a roundabout way to my drop today, i85 was shut down southbound until around 6:30. Two accidents. One i heard was a tanker flipped/spilled/was in the ditch and the other was a truck that jack-knifed so badly that it ripped away the front of the trailer from the cab.

Ran down ga 19 from forest part to ga 54 and followed that until I hit newnan and then hopped off into i85 south about 20 miles from the accident. I was still 30 minutes late, but coming back almost 3 hours later and traffic still being backed up for miles, I knew I would've been far later if I hadn't taken my plan B route.

Headed home... Ppd wants my sleep data and I keep forgetting the ride along slips for my younger cousin. Have had a deal worked out for a couple years with their parents, they do good in school and they come spend a week with me doing whatever they want in the summer. 13 year old cousin wanted to ride with me for a week.

Oh yeah, parked outside forest park in the jcp service area. Taking a load out tonight to Mt. Juliet in the morning. I'm glad too, I always liked that run out there and the relieving crew is always nice.

Sitting at the Domino Sugar plant in Aribi, LA, getting loaded and watching the show! 100 year old loading dock... Once you're backed in, you can't open the driver's door because the mirrors are about an inch apart... :)

Mien gott... It's so hot here that priests are claiming hell on earth.

    102 with 50% humidity.

Let a bottle of water on the dash while I went to run home and take care of a few things, almost burned my hand taking it off the dash.

Ugh...thank God for freon, compressors, condensers, venting and a "full blast" knob.

It's gonna ####ing snow in this truck tonight!

    Hey everyone how's it going!
I haven't been on the forum a whole lot in a while.
Not much has changed with me, I'm still hauling crude oil in northern Alberta. Work has slowed down substantially but hasn't totally tanked for us like it has in a lot of places, we are at reduced capacity but still heading out to the field everyday and making enough to pay the bills.
One thing that's a bonus to less work is an increase in free time to enjoy the start of summer. I bought myself a pedal bike and a set of weights and bench. I have started a bit of a fitness kick , only been at it for a couple of weeks but feeling better already.
Hope everyone's been doing ok here,
One thing ....Did Giggles leave the forum? She had left me a few messages but I couldn't reply to them when I tried too? Anyways gang, take it easy, don't work too hard.
I hope to be back on the forum a bit more regularly from now on.
Oh yeah by the way , I've included a picture of the rush hour traffic we get up here, sometimes it's more than I can handle lol!

I'm the only person I know of who is capable of both shooting myself in the foot and sticking my foot in my mouth at the same time.

I sure hope my insurance will cover an ER visit, dentist and pediatrist all in one day...

I owe my fiancée a date...

Getting a coffee break taken care of at the wilco Hess atop monteagle. In and out.

    Rocks Thanks this.

I though somebody scratched your tractor Vilhiem! At PAM they would have called it my fault!

If I had my druthers I sure wouldn't be awake!

Oh, someone did. I'm not a happy camper about it but shooting myself in the foot and putting the other in my mouth was a feat only accomplished by a conversation with my fiancée...lol
