Oh how I'd like to spout any number of cuss words. I awoke at 4:45 this morning. Went to the office and we installed the fan clutch.
It has never gone above 200 indicated. But it spends a fair amount of time up near there.
So anyhow went near downtown and got 377# going to SDV. Then I went to a place I delivered the other day for some welded up stuff.
Then dropped the first at SDV. Then went up 45 to a jobsite to lose the 3 pieces.
Then to Pro Cargo for what turned out to be a 373# pallet. Took that to SDV. Picked up a hazmat pallet at SDV and dropped at Hazmat Packing. Just as I had parked in shade and shut down at 3:30 (next load WAS to be ready 4:30)
He sent a pickup number for Gaffney Kroese.
Where I went and spent 45 minutes and came away with nothing. Found out right before leaving that it was an 8# carton.
The 4:30 load wasn't ready and somewhere in there he sent ready 6:45 pick up Lobsters. Oh joy. Finally left loaded at 5:10. Greens rd. (Pretty much the only way to get from where I was to where I was going) was backed up severely.
Hit the airline 5:30 and left there 6pm.
Got to Southwest Airlines Cargo at 6:45.
The plane landed at 7:30 and I'm not yet loaded.
Can you understand why I'm just a bit peeved?Vilhiem and chopper103in Thank this. -
Talk about a waste of time and money... Any luck finding a new outfit?
Doncha hate it when you wake up two hours before your alarm goes off and you can't go back to sleep?
Got a call from my dispatcher, "come see me before you go home." First thoughts admittedly were "what did I do now?!"
Turns out I was selected for a random drug test... Dang, and here I had 6 margaritas before heading out this morning!
Headed to Mobile for the second time this week. Not looking forward to it. It's one of the few locations I know of where the driver unloads the truck completely by themselves. And I have a full trailer to be unloaded. Probably 20 pallets with 3-4k hanging.
I've gotta find a better place to park when I run to Biloxi, ms. The time before when I parked some idiot hit me, a couple days ago someone stole a light off my trailer. ...at least they were nice enough to not just yank it out. It's a pity, that place makes a good hamburger.
Got 30 minutes before I should get moving...guess I should quit posting and maybe try once more for just a hair more rest.Rocks Thanks this. -
Hung it up at the loves in Shelby IA tonight. Doing a drop and hook across the street, my trailer was loaded but still at the dock when I got here so I'll go in the morning.

Didn't that one open not too long ago? Could be thinking of someplace else. Loves sends me emails anytime they open up someplace new.

Yeah I don't run over here too often but last time I was here they were still building it. There's a little mom n pop on the north side of 80 here with about 10 parking spaces, that's where I used to stay when I came out here
Vilhiem Thanks this. -
I stopped in Porter for fuel. Could have made Cleveland but here it was 2.399!
Will be home around 11:30.
I ain't leaving home before 8 or maybe even 9.Vilhiem Thanks this. -
Another average week over. Not too much going on here in the patch. Short days and shorter paychecks, barely breaking even on the living costs lately. Hopefully see some improvement soon but I doubt it.
Rocks, otherhalftw and HeWhoMustNotBeNamed Thank this.
