Don't move over for cars on the shoulder, not always.

    Now that is just stupid...

If you can't get over safely, you slow it down.

There have been times where I couldn't get over a lane without causing an issue. And I mean legitimate stuff like a wrecker or the police.

You don't move over unless you can do it safely. If you can't, then SLOW THE HELL DOWN!

It's another case of nobody wanting to hop off the cruise...

If you blink at me too close for my comfort, I'm not moving over until I've confirmed you're not going to hit me or I won't hit you.

I've had some blink me over but not slow down any. i never can tell with some drivers, so I don't move over. (But I don't cut you off a mile down the road later.)

Hey now...if I'm doing it wrong it's up to the more experienced folks to provide guidance to fix it now don't you think? :p

If I can't move over I can't, but I try to. If I see somebody running up the hammer lane I stay in my lane. If there was a cop or a tow worker, I would turn my blinker on and try to get over.

Even if they r tag out, and nobody In the hammer lane I still switch......it's because people like to commit suicide by trucks and they usually sit in the shoulder waiting.... happen before n will happen if ur not paying attention

    That's what I was thinking.

Of course I had that happen today, driving along, see a state truck on the shoulder, turn my turn signal on and another truck running up my but in my lane, (I'm running between 65-70, speed limit 65), never lifts, yanks it over and I have to stay in the lane I'm in and slow down because Mr. I'm Important and Don't See Turn Signals. doesn't have to turn his cruise off.

This is just another rant thread by a speeding driver made to look like it's friendly advice. If you are doing 70-80 adjust your speed if you see a parked vehicle on the shoulder AND are also coming up on a slower vehicle in the right lane. This is what a professional driver does.

A steering wheel holder sets the cruise and posts on forms when they had to kick off the cruise.

If it's safe to move over, I do. I don't spend more than 1-2 seconds evaluating the reason someone is pulled over on the shoulder. If there's a tow/trooper/convoy I will back down if I can't move over, but I try not to blow the doors off of cars that might have someone changing a flat or adding coolant.

I too have had the idiot who started into my lane when I was basically on top of them, and so I just play it safe and move over if I can.

I would do the same, but also will wait for a driver to make that decision from a safe distance. If there is no hazard and I don't see no blinker then best advise is hang on to your left door driver! ;)

I'd love to think you're joking...

...but I live there and have seen it before as well.

Some days I wonder. Then I take two Tylenol and continue with my day.
