I don't get it why do good experienced drivers keep falling for the L/P program? With all the complaints out there I think it would be a no brainer to stay away from them.
CELADON is not a place you want to be!!!!!!!

There is a Celadon driver living in my neighbor hood. He seems to be home alot. The truck is a Int Lone Star, looks pretty new. Recently he was home for almost 2 weeks. Parks the truck in his driveway, I don't mind cause I brought my Freightliner home for ten years. If you live in Corpus Christi Texas, and drive for Celadon, chime in.

The prostar, along with the maxxforce engine, were quickly slopped together and rushed to production. they put a lot of advertising into touting it and talking about how great it was, and it backfired on them horribly, in more ways than 1. It is the same basic design as the EGR cooler on the 2003 era Ford Powerstroke engine, which was a disasterous failure for Ford also. On top of all the other problems with that motor, the EPA I heard was either finding are suing them, this after they bought carbon credits just so they can sell it. Things do not look good for international.
On top of all the problems with the engine and the truck I drove, the thing had a mechanical clutch linkage that would rattle constantly. Constant air leaks. Bad thermostats right from the factory. Chewed up steer tires like clockwork twice within 70,000 miles.joseph1135 Thanks this. -
They were
they were trying to compete directly with Freightliner when they designed the Cascadia. They failed miserably. They didn't put the time in. Even KW tried, half heartedly with the T700 and that is out of production if that tells you anything. There's a reason every other truck you see is a Freightliner. Because they did it right and now KW is catching up because of the 680. Navistar is way behind the ball here.TruckDuo Thanks this. -
I don't much like the 9400, but it looks more like a "man's truck". The LoneStar (Prostar with makeup) look like something you'd get if you mated a 5 bit ##### (Miss Kitty) with a Festus Hagen.

Does anyone know the status on the celadon driver that was in an accident that turned over on a car the other day in Atlanta area? He said he was outside of the truck doing a pre trip inspection on a steep hill. Then the truck started rolling and got away from him. Im sure it was just an honest mistake that he forgot to pull out those red and yellow parking brake knobs. But the news says he is being charged with DUI and other things. Something about prescription drugs in his bloodstream. Just curious. You know how the news crews are. They get a story started then never follow up on it. There were 4 people in the car and one died.

There's a thread in the "accidents" section but it's not much more detailed then you already know. Hopefully somebody's dash cam caught the incident. Would be nice to know the driver was doing a "pre-trip" and did make an "honest mistake", and was on a prescribed amount of a prescribed drug. But to alert authorities right off the bat says otherwise.
Also, turns out he had a corrosive placard load. -
They did say that there was a small bit of hazmat clean up. If he had some type of illegal drugs in his system then he is going to have to suffer the consequences. But it could have been prescribed and okayed by the physician to drive a big rig. With all of these attorneys now days jumping on truck accidents it makes me want to go ahead and get out of it. I would hate to go to prison because some evil attorney gets enough witnesses that didn't really see what actually happened to say I was at fault. People automatically assume the big bad truck caused the wreck just because its so big. When its actually the other way around. 95% of us truckers are better drivers than the 4 wheeler that did cause the wreck.
