The parking lot has gotten bad, when I pulled in there Saturday morning, there was a garbage barrel laying on its side in a big crater with its contents strewn all over the place. They used to keep that place really clean but it's been falling apart.

That what them big chain truck stops will do they will make you or break you. That's kinda what happens to the one in Belmont once travel port TA left it switched owners a couple times and the food wasn't as good as it used to be.

Have you guys been stayin busy? This sounds like a good company I may have to make a change don't want to but its business. Thanks to our greedy state of Ny I'm the only diver that lives in the state any more and I gusse workman compensation in NY has gotten out of had I dontvrealy understand it all but my company is based in OH and they are having to 5-7000 $ more a year to stay compliant with NY they want me to move to OH which I don't have problem with my daughter. And granddaughter lives there but we're having trouble selling the house.

If there ever was a job you didn't have to worry about having to relocate for truck driving is it. And Great Plains and Holland go to the North East a lot so you shouldn't have too much trouble getting home.

Got here early, and no load till in the morning, so it looks like I will get a 34 by midnight. At Allentown and heading up early to Wilkes Barre for a short load to mass. Yuck! Then a load heading to California, but I got home time this coming weekend. Said they would swap it with someone half way there. Normally I would love that run, but been out almost 9 weeks (by choice). Time for a break.

The other driver on here is from NY also. And this is the farthest I've been to the NE since I've been here.
I really like the company, but we are going through some changes right now that should be better soon. Updated my qualcomm today for the company.

The only thing I don't like? Is right now I'm having to contact and talk to brokers, which I've never had to do before. Here or any other company I've worked for, till recently. Hopefully they start taking care of all that when everyone is on the qualcomm update. Other than that it's all good to me.

Just got back to the truck, waiting while they do the QC reset, only bad part is it clears out my logs do I had to have them faxed over and carry with me for the next 8 days. Was a pretty good weekend anyways, got a full day to relax and get away from those pesky tourists, another day of riding, and committed yesterday to getting my bills set up for the next couple of months, the only bad part is my laptop died after an unsuccessful update if the iTunes software, luckily the things are getting cheaper.

I got to price new computers out at Wally World yesterday, kinda weird. Only 250 bucks for a laptop like the one I had(that was 700 bucks 3.5 years ago when I bought it)with 500gb of storage, but $1000 for a little tablet with only 64gb storage? I believe I'll go the old-fashioned route lol.

All I have to write is things still haven't gotten better for me. Sitting 2-3 days between loads are really wearing on me and having to deal with all the brokers is a pain. Now I suppose to be home this weekend, but there's no way unless I get on a plane. I'm going to have to cancel appointments I made. Mileage is pretty good when I do get some loads, but the sit between kills the average for the week. Which isn't awful. They got one average but I get a different number off pay period to pay period. 2 pay periods equals 4 weeks.
Going to count how long it will take pass my home time request they take to get me home.
I know. Being a whiner. Just wish I had some good wine.

I noticed they switched back to using zone dispatch, but I haven't even been informed much on who is in what zones. I just got word of it from dispatch the other day at the last minute. The lack of communication on what is changing and what isn't has been a real headache. I realize they have been busy, and a couple of fleet messages have been put out as well as stuff on the FB page, but it grates on my nerves when I have to call in to check up after waiting hours for a reply on something, be it a new load, papers being faxed, etc and sometimes the office person on the other end gets all pissy. I also realize they want to keep drivers happy, but it helps if they are informed about the changes instead of keeping them in the dark. I have a feeling we'll be still be dealing with brokers for a while. I agree the waiting between loads is also getting to be a PITA. I was doing pretty good until the split, and it's improved some mileage wise, but when a driver calls in for and answer on something or needs a bit more detail on load info and gets their head bitten off and hung up on it doesn't help a bit. Whatever happened between holland and gpt, they really need to get the mess cleared up. Obviously it's a big transition they are making, but like I said, the lack of communication really sucks. Besides, we're drivers, not mind readers lol.

Yeah. I hauled a load and the broker called twice and texted twice before ever being loaded. Just turned off my phone. I have to sleep I told them if I'm running all night to get this load there. Then wanted me to set up my phone so they could live track me. Told them not happening and company has qualcomm and can track me anytime they want. Will call and let you know when I'm loaded and unloaded if time permits or call the company and they will know when I send in the loaded and unloaded macro. Which is how it should be.

They can be real pissy at times.
I wrote more but deleted it.
Probably shouldn't put anything on here. I'm always polite when I call, but some of the responses on that end is not helping.

Today is the first day thinking I might have made a mistake coming OTR versus my local job. I'm hoping they turn this around so I can wipe that thought from my mind.
