Here is what I know.
That On Guard, stability control, ESP, Critical event warning, is all technology in its infancy and very buggy. It all relies on parameters not directly related to the situation at hand. For example, people think that a critical cornering event alerts when a truck is about to tip over in a corner: It does not. What it does do is determine one wheel has turned faster in the corner than expected. It checks this info with the steering wheel sensor and a yaw sensor to determine if a truck is actually cornering. If that is the case a critical event is triggered. So a pot hole, gravel, snow, railroad tracks, ice, uneven road, uneven tires, ect. can all trigger a critical event.
Now office staff is does not know that. This is just computer technology sold to them that makes the claim to improve safety, so of course they are going to buy it. And since office staff has grown nothing but disrespect for drivers, nothing a drivers says is going to change that.
Since these systems can only be tested dynamically, there is no chance in hell and mechanic at the pay grade of a mega-crap trucking company is going to diagnose and fix these systems. Most of these mechanics have no CDL. Most have not driven a truck past the yard. Most are of the quality that changing wipers or tires is a high level shop task. And all, like the office staff, hate on drivers, and like to blame them for everything.
So the next solution office staff has come up with to stem the outflow of drivers it the driver camera. The thought is, if office staff can catch the driver picking his nose when the critical event happens, the oh-so-intellegent office staff can teach the monkey like driver not to corner and pick his nose at the same time. So goes the battle of the wits in the trucking office staff.
The Crapcadia's are not designed any better than the Internationals. I am sure since they are newer at Crete their are less problems with them since they are newer; less time for Crete mechanics and crapy drivers to screw them up. Both International and Crapcadia are poorly engineered Mexican made trucks and these buggy 'safety' systems just make them worse.coldhearttrucka Thanks this. -
You could sue them and say they treated you in a sub-human fashion because your black..I would of asked them by the 3rd junk truck,"why ya'll doing me like dis,is it cuz l's black"?

Sounds like you are a high maintenance truck driver. You need to find another company to have a honeymoon with your girlfriend at. Maybe keep her at home and learn to drive.... Just my 2 cents..

"My response. You people have put me in 6 junker internationals. Ive been broke down more than work i made maybe a couple thosand bucks since i been here. I dont remember the last time i did a 100 200 300 400 500 600 plus mile trip. You people made me get behind on my rent, my car got repossessed, my pockets are empty from spending on food an hygiene while being broke down, living off of cash advances!!!!"
Part of the problem. That's not how you get a problem resolved, try working "with" people instead of this "you owe me" attitude. While it may make you "feel" better, it's not going to work in the real world.Wild Murphy, drvrtech77 and flyingmusician Thank this. -
I like my Prostar. Sure it'll break down, but I blame CARB more for that.
Not sure why you didn't get breakdown pay.
I put my truck in at Wilmer for something minor, and an A service. Then I stayed and got my reset in. I never told my terminal I was down. Never asked for breakdown pay... And still got it.
But then I'm white....Steel Dragon, Blue Irish, iraqralph43 and 1 other person Thank this. -
rough bunch in here lol
but I do agree a girly girl in a truck on the road for a couple weeks at a time, especially one that's breaking down, probably isn't the best combination. my wife goes out with me and she's more the camping in the woods type that isn't afraid to get her hands (or anything else) dirty. that's probably a better girl for the road
easy to see where his frustration is coming from and it most likely isn't the truck
sounds like his approach to dealing with the company on these issues isn't exactly ideal either.coldhearttrucka Thanks this. -

I worked for Crete, his tale of woe doesn't surprise me one bit. The management is one of the most anal retentive, micro-managing bunch of greedy self-righteous hypocrites that ever walked the earth. They would just as soon spit on you as help you...if they noticed you at all.
As for the motel room, how many motels have a single bed? I've never seen one. Most motel rooms have enough room for 2 adults, and only the flea-bag Motel-sex style rat holes charge for an extra person, and usually only $5-$10. Crete allows you to choose where you stay based on where you broke down (or at least they use to) as long as it is under $75...
I've seen many of your posts on here, and honestly, if someone crapped you a solid gold turd, you'd complain because they didn't wipe it off...must be a ##### being you at the beach, walking around on top of the water, unable to dive in and swim around...get a life.Canned Spam, Wild Murphy, TruckDuo and 2 others Thank this.
